Auto engine repair work estimates on a 1994 GMC c1500 5.7liter, replace radiator and water pump?

I have water leaking out of the front bottom of my motor and the radiator is cracked and rusty. The mechanic said I need a new radiator and water pump at least and just for the radiator and repair it will cost around $500 not counting water pump and motor repair, it could end up costing more than $750 does this sound about right?

2. thats about right for a mechanic price but you can save half that by doin it yourself. waterpump for 5.7 is like $40 and radiator is like $100, and its easy to replace.
