Radiator Repair ??? A couple of weeks ago, I was backed into in a parking lot, leaving considerable damage, so I had it repaired at a local car dealer. The car seemed fine after it was repaired, but I only drive about a mile a day to work and back. Anyway, a few days ago I went shopping and I noticed a problem when I slowed down, the car would halt for a sec then run fine, now it does this all the time. I thought it was the brakes, but it wasn't. I found out that the trans fluid was nearly empty. Now I have to go dispute this in the morning. So my question is, when a radiator is changed, does the transmission fluid have to be drained and changed also? Anything would help, thanks!

How much should I pay for engine / transmission installation + radiator repair? I'm supplying a replacement engine and transmission for my 2002 Saturn SC2. How much should I expect to pay for their installation and a repair to the radiator? The price I got from the mechanic was $1300. I got the engine and transmission together for $850 (they both have about 60k miles on them). Is this a decent deal? I'm in Upland, CA. Thanks!

Auto engine repair work estimates on a 1994 GMC c1500 5.7liter, replace radiator and water pump? I have water leaking out of the front bottom of my motor and the radiator is cracked and rusty. The mechanic said I need a new radiator and water pump at least and just for the radiator and repair it will cost around $500 not counting water pump and motor repair, it could end up costing more than $750 does this sound about right?

How do you repair rusted radiator pipes? My house has some type of old heating system that looks like several small radiators connected together. It also has a short metal covering with a vent over the top of the radiators. I heat with gas. My problem is one of the pipes has rusted a hole going into the radiator. I now have water leaking all over my bathroom floor. I sanded the pipe and tryed to sauder the hole closed but the sauder would not hold to the pipe. It did not help matters when I also could not figure out how to shut off the water supply to the pipes. Does anyone know how to repair this type of pipe? If you have any clues of how to shut the water off, that would be wonderful.

Engine damage, overheating car? It appears to run fine after the radiator repair. Still worry? I was on highway when I noticed AC not working. I continue to drive when I noticed Temp was on H for about 5 or so. There were some steam (not big) over the hood (unopen), and some clanking noise when I stopped. I let it cool for about 5 mins and decided to drive again. the Check Engine light was on 2 mins after I started driving. I stopped when Check Engine light on after another 2 mins.
